More instruction on the Report "How to avoid" section

Providing a bit of more extra guidance in the report, under that section, where it says "HOW TO AVOID?". Where it says "To solve the problem, you must update or replace the software in question",
I'd like to know whether it's the path of "update software" or "replace software" that I have to follow, and if I can understand that and do that by myself following instructions or would need technical assistance.
